I’m a western and wildlife artist and a lifelong horsewoman. I’ve been around horses since before I could walk. Growing up in the mountains of Southern California, I spent my days riding through the forests, competing in rodeos through high school and professionally for a bit, doing ranch work, giving lessons, and working cows. I even tried my hand at show jumping as a teenager. For me, the Western way of life isn’t just a hobby, it’s who I am.

I’ve been drawing nearly as long as I’ve been riding, filling pages with horses, elk, and eventually scenes from cowboy life. After twenty years of working with leather, I also have a real, hands-on feel for not only the animals, but the culture and gear I draw. I mostly work in charcoal because, for me, it captures the texture, light, depth, and beauty I see every day. I’m starting to explore more color too, so stay tuned!

My art comes straight from real life and lived experience. I don’t “pose” my reference photos. I just want to share an honest glimpse of the Western world through my eyes!
